Is it dangerous to travel to Turkey alone?

Is it dangerous to travel to Turkey alone? This was one of the first questions that crossed my mind before going to Turkey, as the media showed different public disorders and attacks that were occurring in the nation (in 2016) but I kept it for me , because I heard different opinions that the only thing that made me feel was fear and doubts about my trip and since I am a person who believes that the mind is everything and everything that is thought is attracted, I decided to risk traveling alone to Turkey without any prejudice or expectation and experience for myself the culture and the country.

When the plane was landing in Istanbul - Turkey, I cannot deny that I felt fear and I told myself that I had to face what was coming since there was no turning back, since the plane landed I felt a human warmth and kindness that I had not felt in my own country and it is something strange because Colombians are very hot and friendly, although I travel to Turkey without any prejudice, I had several fears in my mind, because being a Muslim country I thought that women they would be limited and without freedom something that worried me because I was going to be alone and I wanted to travel and explore as much as I could, I thought that this was going to present me problems because my dress was different from that of Muslim women, additional to this I don't know why , I thought that everything was deserted (I know that ignorance but that is what they show on television) and oh surprise when I saw all the technology organization and freedom they have so much man res as women, in addition to this bars, yes, in all the cities of Turkey you find bars where you can dance and drink beer or whatever you like haha, it is something that surprised me quite a bit and I did not expect.

My tour of Turkey mainly started in Istanbul after visiting the cities of Izmir and Cappadocia this trip lasted a little more than 17 days, without presenting any security problem, it is more not present even problems when I changed my money because they always give you receipt and They give you the exact money without any kind of trap, in addition to this people are very friendly and although they do not speak your language they are always willing to help you, cities have cameras in every corner, you always see a policeman and you also meet other tourists If you ask me if Turkey is a safe country to travel alone? My answer without hesitation for a single moment is absolutely YES! The country is safe and besides that it is lovely, I would say that it is a country where the people who visit it are wanting more, I do not think there is a person who has only gone to Turkey once or at least I do not want to return, for example I have already gone 3 times and waiting for a fourth time, it has been the trips with the greatest meaning for me the greatest risk that I run is to want to return again and again! So if it is among your plans to know Turkey take a chance, it is the best thing that could happen to you.

Es peligroso viajar a Turquía sola ? , Esta fue una de las primeras preguntas que  se me paso por la cabeza antes de ir a Turquía , pues los medios de comunicación mostraban diferentes desordenes públicos y atentados que se estaban presentando en la nación ( en el año 2016)    pero la guarde para mi , pues escuchaba diferentes opiniones que lo único que me hacían sentir era miedo y dudas respecto a mi viaje y como yo soy una persona que cree que la mente lo es todo y todo lo que se piensa se atrae  , decidí arriesgarme a viajar  sola a Turquía sin ningún prejuicio ni expectativa y experimentar por mi misma la cultura y el país  .

Cuando el avión estaba aterrizando en Estambul - Turquía , no puedo negar que sentí miedo y me dije a mi misma que ya tenia que afrontar lo que viniera pues ya no había vuelta atrás , desde que el avión aterrizo sentí una calidez humana y una amabilidad que no había sentido ni en mi propio país y es algo extraño pues los Colombianos somos muy calurosos y amables  , a pesar que viaje a Turquía sin ningún tipo de prejuicio, tenia en mi mente varios miedos , pues al ser una país musulmán pensé que las mujeres estarían limitadas y sin libertad cosa que me preocupaba pues iba a estar sola y quería recorrer y explorar lo mas que pudiera , pensé que esto me iba a presentar problemas pues mi vestimenta era diferente a la de las mujeres musulmanas , adicional a esto no se porque , pensé que todo era desierto ( lo se que ignorancia pero eso es lo que muestran en la televisión)  y oh sorpresa cuando vi toda la tecnología  organización y libertad con la que cuentan tanto hombres como mujeres , ademas de esto bares , si , en todas las ciudades de Turquía encuentras bares donde puedes bailar y   tomar cerveza  o lo que gustes jajaaj , es algo lo cual me sorprendió bastante y no me esperaba.


Mi recorrido por Turquía principalmente comenzó en Estambul  después visite las ciudades de Izmir y Capadocia  este viaje duro un poco mas de 17 días ,  sin presentar ningún problema de seguridad , es mas no presente ni siquiera problemas cuando cambiaba mi dinero pues siempre te dan recibo y te dan el dinero exacto sin ningún tipo de trampa,  adicional a esto la gente es muy amable y aunque no hablen tu idioma siempre están dispuestos ayudarte  , las ciudades tienen cámaras en cada esquina , siempre ves a un policía y ademas te encuentras con otros turistas , si me pregunta si Turquía es un país seguro para viajar sola ? mi respuesta sin dudarlo ni un solo momento es absolutamente SI! el país es seguro y ademas de eso es encantador me atrevería a decir que es un país el cual las personas que lo visitan quedan con ganas de más , no creo que aya una persona que solo haya ido una vez a Turquía o por lo menos que no quiera volver , yo por ejemplo ya he ido 3 veces y esperando por una cuarta vez   , ha sido de los viajes con  mayor significado para mi el mayor riesgo que se corre es querer volver una y otra vez ! Así que si esta entre tus planes conocer Turquía arriésgate es lo mejor que te podría pasar .
